Description 
A small wood mallet sometimes called a Jeweler's mallet. The handle is loose and both parts have a black substance on them. The head is of a heavy hard wood and was originally very nicely turned but both faces show signs of misuse. The end of the handle has a hole 3/8" in diameter and 1.125" deep, beyond that hole is a smaller hole about 3/16" in diameter which continues up the handle for another 2.375" making a total depth of 3.5". Around this hole is a metal ferrule.
