Description 
A 19th century sextant in a wooden case, inscribed Philip Bridge (Bridgeo ?) Jan (June ?) 1805. The angles on the arc is inscribed on two ivory plates. In center of the fram is a piece of ivory with "Philip Bridge (faint) Ju 1805." The frame is of a hard close grained wood (Maybe rose wood or mahogany). The metal fittings, shades, horizon mirror etc. are brass or bronze and much verdigris. It has no micrometer or vernier. A paper patch on the arm has the number 5775 (maybe pasted by someone adjusting it.) The case is made of Pine with brass hinges and steel nails and latch. It is painted a dark green.
