Record 915/1139 Catalog Record Objects Exhibit Page Home Search Image 5 of 5 Description  Metal snuffbox found in Abbot Hall tower during window replacement in 2009. Inside the box is a note with two men's names and the date Feb. 23, 1877. Abbot Hall was being constructed during 1877, so it is likely that this snuff box and note was left by two workmen. The names on the note are: George W. Merrill and Albert F. Dodd. The names are signed, with two different signatures. The note also says "Marblehead Mass".
