Abstract Printed and framed extract from the town records of Salem on Marblehead's 350 anniversary in 1998. This extract is as follows"
At a Gen'll towne meeting the 12th day of the first month 1648
"Its ordered that MarbleHead, with the allowance of the gen'all Court shalbe a towne, and the bonds to be the utmost extent of land which was Mr. Humphries farme and sould to Marble Head, and soe all the neck to the Sea, reserving the disposing of the fery and appointing of the ferry man to Salem"
