Cardboard calendar from Citizens' Mutual Ins. Co. W.D.T. Trefry, Agent 1894 with an engraving "Unexpected Attack" of a child and a dog .The Citizens' Mutual Insurance C. of Boston, 8 Exchange Place was incorporated in 1846 and "insures dwelling house property only". They have given a 70% dividend on 5 years' policies.
This piece of cardboard was used to mount an engraving in black & white of a dog and a child contesting over piece of food. It was engraved by Illman Brothers from the original picture by E. L. Henry, Esq. |
