| Abstract |
Two photocopies of two news clippings about a document found under the floorboards of a old barn by Albert F. Norris a member of G.A.R. The first clipping contains: 1. A copy of a painting of the capture of the British transport Hope by the schooner Franklin. 2. A copy of the document which is an agreement between John Glover representing the continental army and Archibald Selman owner of the schooner Franklin for the use of his schooner at the rate of six shillings per month. This was dated 10 October 1775. 3. The news article titled "Marblehead Naval Claims Sustained"
The second clipping contains: 1. A photo of Albert F. Norris holding the document. 2. The news article "Find Historic Old Document", Shows First U.S.Warship Built in Marblehead" |
