Description 
A color postcard of the Powder House on Green Street which was built in 1755 for the French and Indian Wars. At the time it was built it was well away from the habitated area of the town but it is now in the center. The caption on the back of the postcard reads "A small brick magazine located on Green Street. Built by vote of the Town in 1755 at the outbreak of the French and Indian War. Used for storing ammunition during the Revolution and the War of 1912."
