Dated December 10, 1939, Shanghai, China The Cover is on green paper and has a drawing of an occidental woman, a champagne glass and an oriental woman and the words "Good Old Shanghai" The back of the cover has a cartoon by Owen about blowing cold air through the steam line to the anchor engine. It is labeled "Engineering Problem No. .0001" Page 1)This page contains The Masthead, (a newspaper term for info on the publisher, editors etc.) It also contains A good by to Lt. Sisko a pilot (airplane) and Lt. Carter both returning to the States on the Taft, and a welcome to Lt.(jg) G. L. McEntee. Also there is an article about women from Harbin who are in the city who all claim to be decended from Royalty. The last item is about the first US drydock in Portsmouth, Virginia. Page 2) This page has the ship's previous week's schedule written in misspelled words, an item about sightseeing tours offered by the Navy "Y." Next is a list of "interesting things" about naval terms and finally a joke. Page 3) This page has two poems, the first "Soldier Dead" by V.C.D. and "Always Dry" by J. E.
