Record 2777/5355 Catalog Record Archives Exhibit Page Home Search Image 1 of 2 Description  A single sheet of stationery from the Lafayette Nursing Facility written by Louise Cutler who is a resident there. In this letter sent to the Selectmen and forwarded the Marblehead Historical Commission Mrs. Cutler tells aout a mr. Brown the "man in charge of Abbot Hall" who attempted to clean the painting "Spirit of '76" by "playing the hose on the Spirit." This event happened when Mrs. Cutler was in the third grade. This probably happened in 1919.
