Abstract A five part edition with 36 pages of the Marblehead Messenger for Sept 2, 1929 . This is in commemoration of the 300th anniversary of the founding of Marblehead in 1629.
1) The first section contained a letter from President Hover, a poem by Wallace Weed, information on the Indians and Elbridge Gerry.
2) Section B had information on the earliest settlers.
3) Section C had articles on Marblehead schools and the Spirit of '76.
4) Section D had items about Phillip Ashton, the fishing fleet, Marblehead Churches, the Marblehead Female Humane Society and Justice Story.
5) The final section, the Pictorial Section, was printed in brown ink and had many pictures of Marblehead people and scenes.
All of the section had large advertisements from many of the local businesses.
