Three sheets containing 4 letters and copies of letters.
Letter A) From Frank H. Hill, Superintendent of Schools no adresses but an accounting of funds collected by the school system listed by schools. 844 pupils contributed $42.57 towards a gift to the USS Constitution.
Letter B) A letter from the Town Clerk to Charles H. W. Foster with a check for $42.57 and a copy of a letter from Mr. Hill.
Letters C) Copies of two letters. The first is to the Selectmen from the US Frigate Constitution with a copy of a letter they had sent to the Superintendent of Schools, Marblehead, Massachusetts. The letter gave thanks for two dishes presented by school children and requested these thanks be extended to all the children. signed by Louis J. Gulliver, Commanding, U.S. Navy. |
