Gregory about her grandfather who served on the Constitution & an answer from Arthur Bainbridge Hoff (©) In the first letter Sarah E. Gregory writes to the Marblehead Messenger about a letter she sent to the Commandant of the Boston Navy Yard giving the names of her ancestors who served on the USS Constitution. The second letter on the page is a copy of a reply from Arthur Bainbridge Hoff telling her that her letter had been referred to him, thanking her for her efforts to add names to the list of men who served on Constitution and listing some of his ancestors and his service in the Navy.
