| Abstract |
A letter from Mrs. Sarah E. Gregory regrets but she will not be able to attend the dinner for the Constitution on July 29, 1931, because she is under a doctor's care. According to Town Clerk's records she died less than a month later on August 22, 1931. She enclosed a donation towards the expenses of the ship's visit.
Mrs. Gregory continues in her letter that she has just finished a sketch of the life of her grandfather who was a Quarter Gunner on the Constitution. She had recently had it placed in the window of Norris Osborne's store on Pleasant St. |
