Description 
Marblehead Junior High Archives Historical Building Survey Historical Importance: Ambrose Gale lived there from 1665-1708. He was one of the first selectmen and owned all the land now called Fort Sewall. Thomas Bartol also lived there and supposedly painted some of the murals on the walls of the house and many paintings now hanging in the Lee Mansion. Ambrose Gale also testified against Mammy Redd at the Salem Witch Trials.
