Abstract Marblehead Junior High Archives Historical Building Survey

Historical Importance: Josiah P. Creesy was a Clipper Captain who lived in the house during his childhood years (1814-1837). He was famous because he made the run from New York to San Francisco in record time, (89 days) in his ship "The Flying Cloud". His brother, Arthur Creesy, was also a skipper.

Thirteen High Street was built in 1860. It was the old Gerry School where Miss Mary Alley taught.
