Abstract Marblehead Junior High Archives Historical Building Survey

Lee Street was once called the King's Highway in 1725. It runs parallel to Marblehead Harbor. The house at 58 Lee Street was built approximately in 1850 and is of middle Georgian architecture. It is referred to as "The Dwelling House". There is a tale about the house that at one point during the late 1800's, a tower was added on. It was supposedly put on to the right hand corner down towards the back yard. The only reason we could think of for the so called tower is that it was a Victorian feature.
