Jeremiah Lee owned the house between 1784 and 1785. After Lee, Samuel Sewall, a Justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Court lived there. Waldo Ballard, who lived in the Lookout, restored many old Marblehead homes. After Ballard, Rouland moved in. He was a portrait painter. The Written House History (page 29, red folder) and two Biographical Sketches (page 1, black folder) are very informative.
