Abstract	Marblehead Jr. High Archives Historical Building Survey William Browne owned the whole estate in 1683. On October 12, 1700, Browne's three sons William, Thomas and John conveyed it to their sister Elizabeth, wife of Thomas Severitt of Marblehead, a fisherman. Fishing was a very important industry for Marblehead. It made Marblehead an important port and it served as the main diet for Colonials. Interesting Sidelight: A past owner of thge house took paneled dado from the original Unitarian Church on 28 Mugford St and put it in his own house in the living room. It is also believed that 7 Nicholson Street might have been a stop on the Underground Railroad.
