Abstract Marblehead Jr. High Archives Historical Building Survey

The home on 4 Union Street was built by Robert Hooper, circa 1750. He was a cousin of King Hooper and he also built the King Hooper Mansion at 181 Washington Street.

The house is next door to the Lafayette House. ( Legend has it that the corner was chopped off to make room for Lafayette's carriage to pass). The house has many notable exterior and interior features and there is an Additional Architectural Research on page 46.
