Record 3364/5355 Catalog Record Archives Exhibit Page Home Search Description  Marblehead Jr. High Archives Historical Building Survey The home on 65 Washington Street was the birthplace of Samuel Russell Trevett, a Revolutionary War hero. He was born in 1751and was the grandson of the original Trevett owners. He married Sarah Wormstead. The Captain and his company of Marbleheaders captured the only two British cannons taken by the colonists at the Battle of Bunker Hill. Another heroic deed headed by Captain Trevett was when he and a group of fearless Marbleheaders boarded the British brig "Lively" when it was anchored off Fort Sewall and made off with all its ammunition. It was later used by the Marblehead Company.
