Abstract Marblehead Jr. High Archives Historical Building Survey

There are many notable exterior and interior features to this lovely historical house including handpainted wallpaper, gable roof with a hipped roof, symmetrical windows, and a safe built into chimney.
One thing that makes this house historically important is the fact that George Washington, Andrew Jackson and President Madison were all once entertained here. One other historical fact that makes this house important is the information that the building was once two banks at the same time. These banks were some of the first banks of the town and were known as The Marblehead Savings Bank and The Marblehead National Bank. Also, it is now used as a museum and contains a lot of very valuable antique furniture and local artifacts.
