Marblehead Jr. High Archives Historical Building Survey
The home at 200 Washington Street is a very old house and was well preserved. The first owner was an early Marblehead fisherman. It is a good example of a colonial style house. It has many notable features, inside and out. It has a pitched roof, 6x6 window panes, visible stone foundation, narrow winding stairway, original fireplace and swing crane. The house is located near many other famous houses and buildings such as Abbot Hall, The Lee Mansion, The Robert Hooper House and the Meek House.
Interesting photographic study of "the neighborhood" in the blue Elective Folder. |
