Abstract A two page printout from the "Dictionary of American Naval Fighting Ship", Vol. 4, pp. 229-230. It tells the story of the second Marblehead, an unarmored cruiser, launched August 11, 1892 and commissioned April 2, 1894. She was decommissioned August 21, 1919 and reclassified in July 1920. Marblehead was sold August 4, 1921.
