Abstract Manuscript with a detailed 18 page history of 18 Orne St., done by Robert Booth in 1996. This house is known as the Azor Orne House. The property was first mentioned in records as being the site of the house of Rev. Samuel Cheever, minister of the First Church, that house having been built in 1668. The present house was built circa 1762 for Azor Orne, who was a merchant in Marblehead. The document contains a history of the land and buildings and the owners from pre-1671 to 1996.
