| This file contains papers of the Marblehead assessors for the years from 1820 to 1920 in 10 year units. For the most part it consist of list of stockholders of the Grand (National Grand) Bank and the Marblehead National Bank in some of the years between 1820 and 1890. No date: 4 list of the names of stockholders One is a list of banks and individuals who hold debt of the town with amounts excluding the Grand Bank and Marblehead Bank, another is the vote authorizing the hire of sums of money, not exceeding $30,000, to pay some of the creditors of the Town, signature and date is missing. 1820's) 1 item, a note to pay Capt. John Gilley $351.05 for three outstanding debits of $50.00, $150.00 and $151.05 1830's) 8 checks on small printed forms drawn on Marblehead Bank and a receipted invoice from Harry Dockham for removing trash from the Bank House, $3.00 1840's) a small note dated 1847 noting the price of stock in Marblehead Bank $95, Marblehead Muni(?) $90, and Grand Bank $85. A receipted invoice to the Grand Bank for interest on an overdraft of $2.79 paid by w. Brown, Town Treasurer on May 11, 1844.
