| Abstract |
A single sheet with the bolderized words to Marcia M. Selman's verses to Marblehead Forever. In the chorus where the original version has "wiskey's bondage" this version has "all dishonor"
and for the third verse where Ms. Selman wrote:
"Then up and do your duty! Too long ingloriously Did we sleep while Rum held undisputed sway Now, Rally with your ballots, and let his hirelings see That when first we drove him out he went to stay"
This version has:
"Then rouse we at the summons that rings in Freedom's call! 'Tis our battle, sons of men whose blood was shed 'Neath he banner in the good old time! Let life or death befall, We defend the flag in good old Marblehead!"
