| A large number of papers, letters etc. concerning the lease, purchase or sale of town property. Including; 1) A folder with the label "TM-81" containing 115 sheets of paper or groups of papers concerning the taking and purchase of the Usher land on Ocean Ave. next to Devereux Beach in 1963. 2) A folder with the label "T/M Ocean Avenue - Taking for Playground - Land of Arthur C. Usher" containing one item, a plot plan of the "Town of Marblehead, Ocean Avenue, "Taking For Playground, Land of Arthur C. Usher." It was prepared on December 28, 1962 by R. O. Burlingham, Town Engineer. 3) A folder with the label "McEntee Lease- Usher land Off Ocean Avenue" containing eight sheets of paper or groups of papers concerning the lease of some of the Usher land 1971 and Invoices from the Town Departments in 1982 4) A new file folder containing plot plans and other land plans for the area known as Gilbert Heights, or Devereux Cliff, or Fort Glover Park, or Fort Hill, Old Battery, 1812. It also contains letters from and to the Marblehead Park Department concerning this land and Seaside park. Total 16 items with various dates. 5) A Wallet containing three file folders. Two have labels "Devereux Beach Stand" and the third labled "Crowley Lease- Devereux" These leases are in the names of Francis R. Lawton, and Mildred M. Crowley. The scond folder contains a five pages concerning a parking violation, The second is a two page handwritten note about details of a lease, and the third is a 21 page memo concerning a proposed lease to Jeffery Flynn for a place on Devereux Beach. 6) a wallet containing a stack of papers, booklets, legal opinions and details of implimenting Proposition 2 1/2 for the voting on and collection of Real Eatate Taxes. |
