Abstract A poem by Dr. Ray Cole on the capture of Guantanamo Bay. The cruiser Marblehead, along with three other vessels, opened up fire and then cut the cables that led from the shore to Spain.
The poem ends "the price had been dear under heavy fire - Hermann 'K' was brave in the fight - He was a hero at Guantanamo Bay - a new base was ours that night".
