| Abstract |
A copy of a newspaper article titled "Marblehead Captain Cited by ROK in Rout of Reds". The citation was awarded to Capt. Vincent J. Larkin, a Marblehead Army Captain serving as an advisor to a Korean artillery division. Captain Larkin was presented with a letter of appreciation by the South Korean general who commanded the 6th ROK division during the fighting June 4 in the Kumwa section. He is the first American advisor to receive such a citation. The letter was signed by Brig Gen Lee Myong Zai.
Captain Larkin was a former Marblehead football star. |
