| Abstract |
A red notebook containing 8 pages (back to back) of newspaper clippings of Marblehead High School Football in 1942. An interesting article titled "The Marbleheaders Are Born That Way" on page 2 about tradition and a clip on the back - Marblehead vs Peabody. The rest of the notebook contains clippings from each game - scores and outstanding players. Peabody, Salem, Newburyport, Amesbury, Gloucester, Lynn English, Beverly, Saugus and finally the Swampscott game playing to a 7-7 Tie. The last page is a photo of the Stars of the Week in mid-November, 1942 - John "Chipper" Chapman and Ed Barry. |
