Summary This book is compiled from information in the Marblehead Custom House records for the years 1789 to 1850 by Francis B. C. Bradlee. It consist of two parts, an addenda and an index.

The first section "Entry Book, Impost Book, Registers-Foriegn Trade" list a date (starting Aug, 27 1790) the vessel's name the consignees, the port from which it sailed, the master's name, tonage of the ship, number of men in the crew, the cargo and the duties imposed, pages 2 to 101.

The second section "Abstract of Vessels Registered (Foriegn Trade) at Marblehead Custom House" list a date (first dateNov, 7 1789) No. of Register, Description of Vessel (its name), Burthen Tons, and Remarks (length in feet, beam, where built and when, the owners name and the master's name and/or other information)

The Addenda list the year regestered, the type and name of the vessel, the owner and the master on eight pages from the year 1792 to1801

The book also has 13 illustrations of ships and the author-compiler
