Summary This book has 15 chapters beginning in the 1600's. Chapter one is titled A Vanished Race and continues on to Marvill Head before 1700, A Parson's Revolution to Agnes Surriage, Elbridge Gerry and "Castle Pox", Aunt 'Crese and Ma'am Sociable to the Civil War, the development of Clifton and Modern Marblehead and the War with Spain and World War I. After the War with Spain and World War I, there are four pages of Marblehead Men who served in the Army and Navy during both wars.
The final chapter (15) is titled "A Century of Yachting at Marblehead" by William U. Swan on pages 83-91. The First Century of Yachting in Marblehead - A Log beginning July 1836 to August 1935.
