Summary This is the history of a organization in Marblehead which was organized in1816 by the minister of the 2nd Congregational Church (now Unitarian) Rev. John Bartlett under the name "Marblehead Female Humane Society" to provide help to Marblehead Residents in need. The original dues were 10 cents a month and have not changes since 1816. Any female resident of Marblehead can join by paying the dues.
