Description 
This book is about food, cooks, and France in the years before 1939 and World War II. The main character is Clementine, the French woman who cooked for an American family. When the family returned to America Clementine went with them. The book also includes B&W drawings by the author of many places in France. The back half of the book contains many recipes from the meals that Clementine cooked.
