| Souvenir program for the open house in Marblehead on 10 July 1954. I contains a list of the committees, organizations and people involved in the open house program. It has a message by Edward W. Mrs. Lawrence De Pleasant, 6 Lookout Ct. Mrs. Herbert Gilman, 195 Washington St. Mrs. Ralph L. Smith, 187 Washington St. Mrs. Arthur Swasey 11 Circle St. A lecture at Spanish War Veterans Hall by John G. Schroeder, Jr. The buildings and houses on the open house program are: The Old town House, Market Square Early 18th Century House, 11 Waldron St. The Fettyplace House, 15 Waldron Ct. The Jeremiah Lee Mansion, Bank Sq. King Hooper Mansion, Hooper St. St. Michael's Church, 2 Summer St. The "Lafayette House," 2 Union St. The Norden House, 15 Glover Sq. Capt. James Mugford's Birthplace, 13 Glover Sq. "The Hearth and Eagle," 30 Franklin St. The Pedrick House, 52 Washington St. The John Devereux House, 16 Franklin St. The Azor Orne House, 18 Orne St. The John Dixey House, 32 Orne St. Captain Trevett House, 65Washington St. Robert Hooper Mansion, 181 Washington St. Colonel William R. Lee House, 185Washington St. The Mansion House, 187 Washington St. In addition to the open houses several places of historical interest are named and described. In the balance of the booklet are pages of local merchants and residents who sponsored the program. The last page and inside cover contain description and a copy of the Spirit of '76. |
