John Sparhawk was a merchant and lived in this house from 1771 to 1851. He was the first resident. John LeFavour lived in house from 1851 to 1869. His family owned much property and were known cordwainers. S.H. Mace drove horse drawn trolleys in Marblehead for 49 years. He was the first to drive electric trolleys. He lived in this house from 1905 to 1928.
