Marblehead Junior High Archives Historical Building Survey
Numbers 27 and 29 Franklin Street is usually referred to as the "Old Mansion House" belonging to Glover Broughton who led an eventful life. He was not only captured by the British privateer "America" but later again with his brother John. He was captured by the "Alfred" and sent to Dartmoor Prison in England. He served as Town Clerk from 1851 to 1869. |
