Abstract Marblehead Junior High Archives Historical Building Survey

Samuel Harris was a farmer and owned 96 acres of farmland known as the Old Harris Farm. It originally extended from Cemetery Road to Village Street and the front abutted Salem Harbor. The roads of Bayview, Beverly, Tide Winds Terrace, and Santry are located on the original land. The original owner was George Hill. He owned the land before 1743. John Harris was the first well-known owner of the house. He took possession of the house in 1798 and the Harris family lived there for the next 150 years.
