Abstract Marblehead Junior High Archives Historical Building Survey

Nine Mechanic Street was the first summer house (or cottage) built in Marblehead. It is considered Late Georgian and was built by John Brimblecomb. It has many notable exterior and interior features - center front door with two bull's eye windows, eight original fireplaces, sick room, wooden peg support beams in kitchen and summer beams in rest of house.
The Cloon's owned the Brimblecomb House from 1850's to the 1930's. It was made a four tenement house around 1900.
