Marblehead Jr. High Archives Historical Building Survey
The home at 32 State Street was owned by a noted Sea Captain, Ebenezer Giles Evans. He captained many merchant ships, among them the Hannah, William, Richard Edward and the Corinna, on which he died. He ran a triangle trade from Boston to Africa to Europe and back again.
