The Old North Church and the Elbridge Gerry House are located just down the street. The house was the first antique store in Marblehead and an old sign reads: Bessom Antiques - 1892. There is a fascinating tale of the History of 11 Washington Street on page 44 detailing many memories contained within the walls as told by a cat.
