A walnut display case containing seven U.S. Army medals and other insignia of Tristan Whitney Hayes who was killed in combat on 17 Septembe 1968 in Vietnam. The medals are: Bronze Star with "V" for Valor, Purple Heart, Good Conduct, National Defence, Viernam Service, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, and Vietnam Defence. The other items in the display are: Red Diamond of the 5th Infantry Division, the Combat InfantryMan's Badge, the sharpshooter's medal for the Automatic Rifle, A U. S. Army collar device and an Infantry collar device. |
