| Description |
Naval officer's dress uniform consisting of a wool coatee with stamped brass buttons with image of eagle over anchor, 10 on front, two on back, gold braid epaulets with one bar and silver braid anchor and smaller button. Also a chapeau with same eagle buttons, a brass bard, silk rosette, and gold ribbon. The sword has naval decoration on blade and USN, "made USA" near hilt, six point star, shagreen handgrip and brass mounts with USN, brass braid with tassel, in a leather and brass scabbard attached to leather belt with stamped brass naval buckle. |
