| Description |
B&W photo taken May 5, 1898 of the True family. There are six people and one dog in the photo. The photo is taken in front of house, which has the house number "23" on it - it is 23 Pleasant Street. The front door is decorated with bunting. See also Other # A-26. According to the 1899 - 1900 Naumkeag Marblehead Directory, 23 Pleasant St. was the home (and Office) of Dr. Richard S. True (homeopathic physician and surgeon), J. Webster True (student), Miss Helen E. True (teacher), Harry E. True (traveling salesman), and Miss Charlotte L. True (student). Although none of the people in the picture are identified, it is most probable that the six people are those listed above, plus Dr. True's wife. |
