| Sepia Photo of the horse-drawn hook and ladder fire wagon "Washington", with 14 men. Based on a writeup about the Washington Hook and Ladder and Sail Company (Item # 2006-033-00124) done by Larry Doliber, the wagon was purchased in 1873 and retired in 1888 after the great fire. |
