Description 
B&W photo taken in 1899 of ten men and a rescue boat after the rescue of the Norseman - a steamer which went aground off of the Neck. The rescue boat is on a carriage and has a "trailer" which contains a breeches gun - which was used in the rescue of people from the Norseman. The photo is taken on Front St., in front of the "old Leslie" building. The boat is labelled "Humane Society" and according to a notation on the photo was 'built by Chamberlain'. All but one of the men in the photo are identified.
