| Description |
A B&W photo which has been torn in half. Twelve men are in the photo, standing and sitting in a field in front of a shed. The men are wearing good clothes and hats. The photo was taken in 1902. On the back of the photo is written "Marblehead Police and Henry C. Sparhawk". Henry Sparhawk was a Selectman, first elected in 1890. Warren Perry has provided a copy of a newspaper clipping from 1902 which contains this photo and has the people identified. In the rear is Henry C. Sparhawk. Back row, left to right: Clinton Foss, William B. Symonds, John B. Litchman (chief of Police), Stephen Chapman, Charles A. Weare. Front row : Benjamin W. Woodfin, William T. Greene, Augustus R. C.
