Sepia photo of the Gregory building at the corner of School and Essex Streets. This is the wooden building that stood there between the fire of 1877 and the fire of 1888. It is three stories high with a Mansard roof, an elaborate doorway for W. C. Gregory Pharmacist on the corner of the building with two more doors on the side facing School Street. On School Street are two horse and carriages and on Essex Street there is another three story building with a mansard roof. |
