Record 3228/5355 Catalog Record Archives Exhibit Page Home Search Description  Marblehead Junior High Archives Historical Building Survey The Curtis' (the world's first fliers) lived here. Greely Curtis flew with Otto Lilienthal and they started the Curtis-Burgess plane Company. It was a tenement in the late 1800's and that is how it got the name, Anthony's Chambers. It was also the home of a master mariner, John Russell in 1845-1857. Sidelights: the house was built on Jonathan Glover's apple orchard.
