This file contains 56 handwritten invoices to the Town for the years 1740-1749
They are for services or items authorized by the Selectmen.
In 1747 there is an invoice from Eben Stacey which included an item "To 132 (or 732 not clear) feet Planks for Bridge going to neck . 3.6--" (three shillings and six pence) Was the causeway broached ?
In 1742 (the year Frankland came to build the Fort which became Fort Sewall) William Goodwin submitted and invoice "To waiting on his Excellency ye Capt. General with Mr. Brown" for £5. |
